Constructed Wetland Association 12th Annual Conference

11th - 12th October 2016, Manchester Town Hall

Venue:  Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester M60 2LA

Developments in Wetland Technologies for control of Wastewater and Diffuse Pollution

The final timetable is now available to download.

Following our successful collaboration in 2014, this year the Constructed Wetland Association’s 12th annual conference will once again run alongside the European Wastewater Management Conference. This will allow participants of both conferences to explore wider issues and developments in the field of pollution control as well as their core interests.

Wetland ecosystems can process a wide range of waterborne contaminants, and understanding these wetland processes enables us to engineer wetlands to be treatment systems with reliable performance, ecosystem and amenity benefits, and flood mitigation. This year the Constructed Wetland Association is focusing upon the science and practice of measuring and understanding the benefits of wetland systems, including removal of a wide range of contaminants from wastewater, from treating diffuse pollution sources, and from making natural ecosystems more effective at processing waterborne contaminants.

Who Should Attend?

The CWA annual conference has a track record of attracting a good mix of practitioners, academics, regulators and technology users. It would be of interest to practitioners in constructed wetlands; anyone interested in low energy wastewater treatment, professionals working to improve river water quality by tackling diffuse pollution (eg catchment partnerships); regulators and government organisations interested in water framework directive, biodiversity, sustainability or wastewater regulation; academics in the field of wetland engineering or pollution control.

The EWWM / CWA Conference provides an excellent opportunity to increase your company’s profile and gain brand awareness through sponsorship & exhibiting. You might want to communicate a message, promote your products and services, or build your profile as a leading sector supplier. Whatever the reason, there’s no better place to reach and engage industry professionals.

The conference exhibition provides a relaxed and informal opportunity to meet with representatives from the UK water companies, consultancies, technical associations, universities, research establishments, process suppliers, Government departments and agencies. The exhibition is the perfect opportunity to meet key people from across the water industry.
